The following information will be helpful for students using the on-line application form:

Features of the Sallie Mae loan include:
- You may choose the length of the repayment period (between one to 15 years).
- The loan may be deferred, or you may select to do interest only payments while
in school. - Interest rate and fees are set according to your credit rating and current income level.
- You can use co-borrower. This may reduce your interest rate, increase your chances
of being approved or increase the maximum allowable loan amount. You may also
apply to release your co-borrower after two years. - There is no prepayment penalty.
- If approved, you may borrow up to 60% ($3,540.00) above the $5,900.00 total cost of
the program to pay for living or other expenses. - The loan is disbursed directly to the school. (However, if a student applies for
addtional funds over the $5,900.00 cost of the program, those funds will be sent
directly to the student).
