Miles brings varied and diverse experiences into his role as the director of the Cleveland and Columbus branches of the National Personal Training Institute. A certified athletic trainer (ATC) by the National Athletic Trainers' Association and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Miles earned his bachelors degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise physiology from the University of Texas in Austin. He then received his masters degree in sports management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before joining the National Personal Training Institute, Miles spent four years as a sports medicine communications consultant for The Gatorade Company. Prior to his experience with Gatorade, Miles worked as a certified athletic trainer/sports medicine specialist and strength and conditioning coach in professional baseball with the Cleveland Indians, Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Mets, and in the collegiate ranks with the athletes at the University of Illinois.
A dynamic, passionate and dedicated instructor, Miriam shares more than 20 years of experience in the health and fitness profession with her students. A licensed occupational therapist (OT) by the American Occupational Therapy Association and certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Miriam earned her masters degree in occupational therapy from Cleveland State University which included work at the world renowned Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Miriam, who has worked as a lead instructor for the National Personal Training Institute since 2001, is the director of education for the Cleveland and Columbus branches of the institute.
A Cleveland area native, Rich is a certified personal trainer by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. A former personal trainer and personal training manager at Fitness Together in Westlake, Ohio, Rich earned his undergraduate degree in psychology and is pursuing his graduate degree in exercise science from Cleveland State University. Popular with his students, Rich brings a gregarious and easy going teaching style into his role as the lead instructor for the Cleveland branch of the National Personal Training Institute.

Certified as both a personal trainer (CPT) and a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Bob brings experience as a personal trainer, personal training manager and strength and conditioning coach into his role as the lead instructor for the Columbus branch of the National Personal Training Institute. Bob earned his degree in physical education with a concentration in exercise physiology from Kent State University and worked most recently as a personal training manager for Lifestyle Family Fitness Centers in Columbus. A competitive weightlifter and a USA Weightlifting Certified Club Coach, Bob also serves as Vice President of the Columbus Weightlifting club.
A former All-American linebacker and co-captain of two national championship football teams at Youngstown State University, Jeff, a certified personal trainer by the National Strength and Conditioning Association brings wide-ranging experiences into his role as both an instructor for the Cleveland branch of the National Personal Training Institute and his work as an independently contracted personal trainer and personal training consultant throughout the Cleveland area. Upon earning his undergraduate degree in communications from Youngstown State, Jeff opened his own video production company which he operated for five years. During this time he also entered the graduate program in Biological Sciences at Cleveland State University. After growing and expanding his company, Jeff sold his business to began a career in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on research, treatment applications and lifestyle changes related to cardiovascular disease, stroke and obesity. In addition to his professional and academic work, Jeff has also tutored high school and college students on a variety of topics including physics, chemistry and biology.
An avid skier, snowboarder and former collegiate baseball player, Matt is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a graduate of Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio. Along with his teaching responsibilities for the National Personal Training Institute, Matt is the owner and operator of MK Fitness, an in-home personal training company.
